Thug Life: Volume 1 is the only studio album by American hip hop group Thug Life, started by rapper Tupac Shakur, it was released on September 26, 1994 by Interscope Records. The group featured Big Syke, Macadoshis, Mopreme, The Rated R and Tupac Shakur.

Pac may have written and recorded it as a model for Yanni, female rapper close to Big Syke and eventually supposed to be part of Thug Life. That’s why there is also a Yanni version.
The group eventually released their debut album, Thug Life: Volume 1, in September 1994 after it was rejected multiple times by Interscope. It only had ten tracks when dozens more were recorded during the sessions. Promotion was lacking.
