Devil May Care is the second studio album from Claire Martin, a jazz singer who found her voice early on in her career. True to form Claire Martin does not turn to the obvious repertoire instead Devil May Care is a blend of original tunes and material by such diverse figures as Noel Coward and sixties hipster Bob Dorough. The session was produced by Rick Taylor whom Claire had met when working with Wet Wet Wet at the Albert Hall.

Claire Martin (born 1967) is an English jazz singer, born in Wimbledon, South London, England. Apart from touring Europe, she also works as a co-presenter for Jazz Line Up on BBC Radio 3. She has collaborated with the jazz composer and performer Sir Richard Rodney Bennett.

Claire Martin has been a driving force behind the UK jazz scene for the past 25 years and has won many accolades, including a British Jazz Award no less than six times. Her massive contribution to UK jazz was noted in 2011 when she was the proud recipient of an . in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to music.
