You Never Know Who Your Friends Are is the second solo album by American t Al Kooper, issued in 1969 on Columbia Records. Kooper wasted no time recording this album, coming just seven months after his debut release. Tear The Roots London duo Kaleida return with their debut album 'Tear The Roots' on Lex. ‘Wood has one of those imposing voices that seems to envelop your surroundings, with Goulder’s transparent production providing a subtle electronic counterpoint. NME 'The production is sharp, with drama-drenched lyrics being backed up by a sinister cause. - DIY ‘Muted and smouldering in a way that lingers on your mind like rain on the windows. - The FADER ‘A gorgeous slice of electronic pop which stands out in the overpopulated world of electronic music. John O'Connor Just when you think all hope is lost, along come Kaleida with a debut album that's an answer to the prayers of those of us who have taste. It's so good that it's almost impossible to pick just one favourite track. THIS is how great pop music is done.

Al Kooper's second solo album is a bit more uneven than its predecessor, I Stand Alone, for understandable reasons - it would have been nothing less than a miracle for Kooper to have matched the consistency and daring of that album, and he doesn't have quite the same array of memorable tunes here. He's still ranging freely, however, through pop, jazz, R&B, and soul, with some songs that are among the most glorious of his output.

Album Tear The Roots. Tear The Roots Lyrics. Tear the roots What would you need? You cull and choose With your jealousies Hey no heart - Why would you make me feel this way? How will the bleeding stop When deceit has been laid? How we gon leave Cold ground got a hold on me On my knees Beg here for time. The royal and the soil in me Can’t reconcile who’s to blame. How we gon leave Cold ground got a hold on me On my knees Beg here for time.
