O sing to me the auld Scotch sangs I' the braid Scottish tongue. The sangs my father loved to hear, The sangs my mither sung, When she sat beside my cradle, Or croon'd me on her knee. And I wadna sleep, she sang sae sweet, The auld Scotch sangs to me. And I wadna sleep, she sang sae sweet The auld Scotch sangs to me. Sing ony o' the auld Scotch sangs, The blithesome or the sad, They mak' me smile when I am wae, And greet when I am glad . I'll bless the Scottish tongue that sings The auld Scotch sangs to me. Meaning of unusual words: braid broad wae sad saut salt e'e eye ilka ane every one Другие тексты песен "Moira Anderson".

Scottish folk music (also Scottish traditional music) is music that uses forms that are identified as part of the Scottish musical tradition. There is evidence that there was a flourishing culture of popular music in Scotland during the late Middle Ages, but the only song with a melody to survive from this period is the "Pleugh Song". Many of the poems of this period were also originally songs, but for none has a notation of their music survived. Frequent guests included Moira Anderson (born 1938) and Kenneth McKeller (1927–2010), who enjoyed their own programmes
