Movies For Ears is a retrospective collection of works by Polish-born, Glasgow-based artist Ela Orleans which navigates almost two decades of songwriting in the heart of the global pop underground. This remastered collection casts an ear over what Orleans might call the ‘pop sensibility’ within her back catalogue. Out on April 5th - Ela Orleans Movies For Ears LP/CD on Night School. A retrospective of early works by the Polish-born, Glasgow-based sound artist and composer.

Day for Night stands on the minimalism of Downie's poignancy - nothing is overproduced and the songs themselves are left alone to arrive on their own. The Tragically Hip are artistic voyeurs, composing storybooks of enchanting beauty so that others may join them in telling the tales of life's offerings. Day for Night isn't afraid of that, presuming the band's simple acoustics. It's not an entirely acoustic album, but on acoustics it certainly thrives. It's merely a storm - the Tragically Hip's depiction of their own rock & roll.

Eclectic artist Ela Orleans will release a new record in late June. Circles of Upper and Lower Hell is a double LP that takes inspiration from no less than Dante's Inferno and is as epic, dark and beautiful as that sounds. The Polish-born, Glasgow-based artist blends electronica and synth pop with orchestral expansiveness and cinematic vision on this seventh album under her own name, which builds on her 2015 release Upper Hell.
