Hymn is the twelfth studio album by English soprano Sarah Brightman and first since 2013's Dreamchaser. The five-year gap between both studio albums marks Brightman's longest break between studio releases. This album marks Brightman's ninth studio collaboration with producer Frank Peterson. The album was released on 9 November 2018, entering at No. 1 on both the Billboard Classical Crossover Albums and overall Classical Albums, making Brightman the female artist with the most No. 1s in both charts.

HYMN Valley's deep and the mountain so high If you wanna see god you've gotta move on the other side You stand up there with your head in the clouds Don't try to fly; you know you might not come down Don't try to fly, dear god, you might not come down. Jesus came down from heaven to earth The people said it was a virgin birth Jesus came down from heaven to earth The people said it was a virgin birth The people said it was a virgin birth. The world’s most successful and best-selling soprano Sarah Brightman will unveil her much anticipated fifteenth full-length album, HYMN, on November 9, 2018. This marks the multi-platinum, GRAMMY® award-nominated, classical crossover pioneer’s first new studio recording since she released the international chart-topper Dreamchaser in 2013. HYMN Valley's deep and the mountain so high If you wanna see god you've gotta move on the other side You stand up there with your head in the clouds Don't try to fly; you know you might not come down Don't try to fly, dear god, you might.

Sarah Brightman has the spirit, or at least spirituality, on her new album, Hymn, which comes out Nov. 9 with a world tour lined up to support it. "I think at this time in my life, especially at this time when I think humankind is going through a really huge and profound transition - especially with technology and all sorts of new things happening in our lives - that's caused a lot of upheaval in the world," the award-winning soprano and actress tells Billboard. I feel like right now a lot of people are not feeling centered and don't quite who where they are or what's going to happen, so as an artist I went to a place where I feel centered, and this is what I ended up with. Brightman says she was initially missing a sense of "mission" after her last studio release, 2013's Dreamcatcher.

The track ‘Hymn’ itself is Brightman’s reading of the track from Barclay James Harvest’s 1977 album Gone To Earth. The new album also includes songs by such modern composers as Eric Whitacre (‘Fly To Paradise’), Japanese superstar musician-songwriter Yoshiki (‘Miracle’) and the German DJ Paul Kalkbrenner (‘Sky and Sand’). The record concludes with a new rendition of Brightman’s signature duet with Andrea Bocelli, ‘Time To Say Goodbye,’ singing lyrics that she wrote herself, for the first time in English. Hymn is released on 9 November
