Jay Bolotin - Jay Bolotin (1970). Songs in album Jay Bolotin - Jay Bolotin (1970).

The first release in over thirty years - these songs tell stories that have become part of peoples lives - from a circus to a parlour to a pause outside a preacher's tent - and out upon a burning boat. Genre: Folk: Modern Folk. A native of Kentucky, Jay Bolotin has long been admired (and sometimes castigated) by a variety of people in many different genres and disciplines. Seemingly disparate people as Porter Wagoner and the famed opera director, Jonathan Eaton, have championed Jay's work. Dan Fogleberg had a hit with Jay’s song, Go Down Easy in the mid- eighties.

Michael Bolotin is the first studio album by American recording artist Michael Bolton, who recorded the album under his birth name. It was released by RCA Records in 1975. Your Love" (Bolotin). Dream While You Can". Tell Me How You Feel". It's All Comin' Back to You". It's Just a Feelin'". Everybody Needs a Reason". Time Is on My Side" ("Norman Meade", aka Jerry Ragovoy).

But when our hero, Jay Bolotin, wrote and recorded it, the tune was called It’s Hard To Go Down Easy, a devastatingly pure elegy to a woman picking up the pieces from a broken relationship. She learned to cook the meals, Fogelberg sings with a quaver over a finger picked acoustic guitar figure and the pleasant shuffle of a snare drum, and she learned to start the fir. he sits down to the table/with friends and several others/and she tries real hard to never be alone. The song was originally captured at a demo session he did in 1972 in Nashville
