Ian Simmonds Born in the foot hills of Snowdonia, Ian Simmonds comes from a long line of Welsh wordsmiths and artists. As a youngster, he travelled a lot with his family to the USA and Australia taking in all the sounds he heard along the way. He began his career at the end of the 80's with the acid jazz group the Sandals, then moved on to producing as Juryman, Wiseintime and under his own name. Feeling Form 18. As producer, musician and DJ, Ian Simmonds stands for the cultural bridging of emotionally driven sound aesthetics from the most diverse components of recent music movements. It all began at the beginning of the 90’s as a member of the legendary crew The Sandals. There direction was primarily a clubbed mix between Trip Hop, Acid Jazz, and Downbeat. The first album The Ballad of Den the Men is driven by everything those harmony-addicted shed tears for and feel passionate joy about. On the FAT sub-label Musik Krause he shines with 2 EP’s. As it stands there is abundant blood pumping through the heart of the Rave maltreated body to provide to transport the listening.

The Welshman Ian Simmonds has for the foreseeable future pitched his tent on the Isle, post his few years in Thuringia, Germany. Almost two of those years were spent on the Castle Wendelstein where the splendid album "The Burgenland Dubs" was brought to light. He is of course ever close to the Music Krause clan and rightfully so, when there are two sonic rockets at the ready to be blasted into space of the the auditory world  . Ian Simmonds has released material on !K7, Ninja Tune's Ntone offshoot, SSR, and his own ATL imprint. Formerly of pop-house group the Sandals (who had a huge hit in the early '90s with "Feet"), Simmonds went solo after problems with the group's label forced them to break up (his label, ATL - All That's Left - is an ironic tribute to that sobering experience)  .
