Music of Alec Wilder is a post bop music album recording by VIC JURIS released in 1996 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette. Double-Time DTRCD 118 (US). Thanks to snobb for the addition. Music of Alec Wilder Double Time Jazz 1996. Vic Juris: Music of Alec Wilder. Music of Alec Wilder by Vic Juris (CD, Oct-1996, Double-Time Records) Jazz. Vic Juris - Music of Alec Wilder.
Vic Juris on the left channel, John Etheridge on the right channel. Miroslav Vitous acoustic bass and Marcello Pellitteri drums on " There is no greater love", "L", "Georgeiana" and "Sim". JURIS and ETHERIDGE are supberbly compatible, and their four acoustic duets are a particular delight. Just hear their thoughtful version of You've Changed " Etheridge on classical nylon string guitar and Juris on Ovation steel string" or their bossa-nova interpretation of Con Alma and you'll be hooked.
Guitarist Vic Juris triumphs again on Songbook 2, aided by bassist Michael Formanek and drummer Jeff Hirshfield. Like its predecessor, this album features mainly standards and jazz classics, with one Juris original - the melodic, modulating waltz "One True Friend" - thrown in for good measure.
