Overview (current section).

The Gong lineup was a reunion of the Angel's Egg/You-era band, featuring the return of Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, who had left in 1975 and so were not part of the then-current Gong-Expresso which would eventually change its name to Pierre Moerlen's Gong. Their set included most of the music from four albums - Camembert Electrique and the three albums of the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy - therefore this album documents less than half of the performance and some songs are absent or incomplete Many are slightly renamed from their original titles  .

Sound on this reissue is phenomenal. The stereo image is only amplified by all the crazy effects in the music. The bass is full and the drums have punch everything sounds crisp and clear. No pressing defects, flat and quiet. Only gripe I have is the noise floor is a little high at times. Other than that I would recommend this, great music, great reissue.

According to a conversation with Steve Hillage on the Planet Gong Facebook group (now probably two years ago) Steve himself was "totally out of the loop" on all this as he was busy touring and probably in America when all this controversy happened. He was as surprised as anyone else to see his face cut-out inside the cover. Although there is apparently a very first print-run where his in the picture (he also pointed out the the photo was taken through a pane of glass, and hence why it's a double image), and he's still credited within Daevid Allen's cover art.
