Careful What You Wish For is the seventh album by Scottish rock band Texas, released 20 October 2003. The album went on to achieve gold status in the UK for 100,000 copies sold. Only two singles were produced from Careful What You Wish For. The first was the hit UK Top 10 single, "Carnival Girl" which reached on the UK Singles Charts and was also a hit in other European countries.

Careful What You Wish For. "Please retry". Upon reflection, this album is quite typically Texas - some fantastic songs that can stay in your head for the rest of the day, but with others that leave only a slight impression after hearing them. The "Carousel Dub" is one such example of this - in fact the album probably would have even benefitted from having this one removed. But, as with any other release by Texas, Sharleen's voice is it's amazing self. She is a great singer, it is a shame that they don't get as much acclaim these days. A recommended album - worth it for standouts alone.
