Pounding, punishing, pummeling, perfecto punk from Sweden but sounding very early 1980s U.S. influenced. In fact, Rovsvett has been called the Poison Idea of Sweden. In fact they did an entire 7" of Poison Idea covers. These rough and tough Swede bad boys are still kicking ass and taking names today, possibly making them one of Europe's longest running HC bands (I think Raw Power has them beat by a few years). And further-fucking-more there has been little to no decline in quality from this, their first release, until present. Yup, they still sound heavier than King Kong's 'nads and meaner than Iron Mike Tyson on PCP. If you are a newbie to the mega-mean sounds of Rovsvett, a good way to go is the CD on Six Weeks Records with all of their early material. That will save you the trouble and the cabbage involved in tracking down the original wax. Oh, yeah. A Swedish dude told me that Rovsvett is Swedish for "Ass sweat," so now I have ANOTHER reason to love them.
