I See the Rain" is a 1967 song recorded by The Marmalade, written by lead guitarist William Junior Campbell and vocalist Dean Ford (born Thomas McAleese). This was the band's third CBS Records release, following their 1966 name change from Dean Ford and the Gaylords and change of label from Columbia (EMI) to CBS, and was one year before their first successful UK release "Lovin' Things". The self-penned recording was praised by Jimi Hendrix as the "best cut of 1967.

I am the rain, I am all around Watching the world from an open door Just like the day before hoping that love comes back around. Some might say we're tangible, then they can't see what's inside Wish I could rain down on you all and pour into your open mind How will we get here? Guess we'll fly, when we fall from the sky. I have no reason for believing in your hype My shoes are tattered and my television's black and white I keep my promises, they're safely tucked away I'm gonna use em on another rainy day You'll never make us go away
The Laughing Man" was just the right story for a Comanche. It may even have had classic dimensions. It was a story that tended to sprawl all over the place, and yet it remained essentially portable. You could always take it home with you and reflect on it while sitting, say, in the outgoing water in the bathtub. The only son of a wealthy missionary couple, the Laughing Man was kidnapped in infancy by Chinese bandits. The Chief demonstrated, rather than explained, the Laughing Man's respiration method. Strangers fainted dead away at the sight of the Laughing Man's horrible face.
