Luis Arcaraz (Luis Arcaráz Torrás, Mexico City, Mexico, December 5, 1905 - December 15, 1963 San Luis Potosí, Mexico) was a Mexican composer and bandleader. He made his musical debut in Tampico in 1928. Was awarded Mexico's Gold Record award in 1951 for 'Quinto Patio'. He became a noted composer of film music in his native country. Luis Arcaráz led the most popular orchestra in Mexico during the 1940s and 1950s.
