The Reaper is the fifth studio album by the German Power metal and speed metal band Grave Digger. It was released on 2 November 1993 for the label GUN Records. This was the band's return after a long hiatus, released seven years after their previous album Stronger Than Ever. A new line-up was formed except for the band leader, Chris Boltendahl and guitar player Uwe Lulis.

Return of the Reaper is the 17th album from German heavy metal band Grave Digger, which was released on 11 July 2014 via Napalm Records. This is the final album to feature . Katzenburg on keyboards. The album cover was created by Gyula Havancsák of Hjules Illustration and Design, who has been responsible for all of the band's artworks since 2005's The Last Supper.

The presented raw heavy riffs and the epic catchy chorus are a trademark in their albums, so is the unique Chris Boltendahl’s voice. As a traditional heavy metal fan, I really can appreciate a singer that can sing like a man. That somebody is smashing my balls vocals style doesn’t make part of Grave Digger’s sound and that is a huge bonus! Is this album different and innovator? Certainly not! But it doesn’t change the fact that is a pretty good metal album
