Mewe is an album about reflection, relationships, widespread views, freedom and self-sufficiency. A thoughtful vagueness permeates this recording and leaves the listener with both a sense of restlessness and something peaceful, while adding a dimension of surrealism. MEWE is Anna Lundqvist's fifth quintet recording. This album also features guitarist Krister Jonsson; cellist Stina Larsdotter; and vibraphonist Tobias Hedlund. This is departure from Anna's previous albums, as the completely acoustic and well-known jazz sound is nearly gone
