Band Name The Black Dahlia Murder. This is the album that TBDM used to form their original sound and become who they are today. Like a lot of other people my age, The Black Dahlia Murder was the first technical death band I ever heard. The album I first heard by them was Nocturnal, which was the only one I had by them for almost a year. I got their first album about a year after I first heard Nocturnal, and I really didn’t like it, I guess you can say I thought it sucked. Miasma was the only other album they had come out with, so I thought that it had to be better

The brutal murder of 22-year-old Elizabeth Short, aka the Black Dahlia, in Los Angeles in early 1947 went down in history as one of the most gruesome and shocking crimes of the '40s. The United States was, generally speaking, a more innocent, less jaded country (at least on the surface) in that pre-Manson Family, pre-Hillside Strangler, pre-Night Stalker era - and Short's mutilation horrified a lot of Americans

Immensely dark, brutal and rabid, "Miasma" leaves you feeling like you've been left in a concrete mixer overnight. Although the album has only 10 songs, each of them encase strong structures, melodies and a mountainous amount of insanity that will leave you temporarily blind. With a new album comes a few changes, such as better production quality, and most notably, a new drummer (Zach Gibson replaced Cory Grady)  . Anyway you cut it, The Black Dahlia Murder will wreak havoc on you. originally seen at ww. .
