Bayou Country is the second studio album by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, released by Fantasy Records in January 1969, and was the first of three albums CCR released in that year. After ten years of struggling as the Blue Velvets and the Golliwogs, singer/guitarist John Fogerty, his brother guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford scored a hit single with "Susie Q" in June 1968 under the name Creedence Clearwater Revival.

William Bruce "Billy" Hardwick was a right-handed ten-pin bowler and member of the Professional Bowlers Association. Hardwick joined the PBA Tour in 1961, and amassed a total of 18 PBA titles during his career. Hardwick captured all three between 1963 and 1969. There have been only five other Triple Crown winners since: Johnny Petraglia, Mike Aulby, Pete Weber, Norm Duke and Chris Barnes. In 1969, he matched Dick Weber's 1961 PBA record by winning seven titles in one season.
