Divinyls (stylised as diVINYLS) is the fourth studio album by Australian band Divinyls, released on 29 January 1991 by Virgin Records. The album was the band's most successful, peaking at number 5 in Australia and number 15 on the US Billboard 200. It also contains the band's biggest-selling single, "I Touch Myself", which reached number one in Australia, number 4 in the US and number 10 in the UK.

Divinyls were a rock group formed in 1980 in Sydney, Australia. The band had several lineup changes, retaining only central members Chrissy Amphlett (vocals) and Mark McEntee (guitar) throughout the band's entire run. The band released five albums - "Desperate" (1983), "What a Life" (1985), "Temperamental" (1988), "Divinyls" (1991), and "Underworld" (1996) - before disbanding in 1996. The band reunited in 2006 and toured sporadically until disbanding once more in 2009

The Collection (Divinyls album). The Collection is the second compilation album by Australian band Divinyls, released on 6 December 1993. The album failed to enter the Australian ARIA top 10. .In late 1992 the Divinyls covered The Young Rascals song, "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore", for the soundtrack to the film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was subsequently issued as the lead single from The Collection, in October 1992.

In 1991, Australia's Divinyls generated some controversy in the . when lead singer Chrissie Amphlett sang about female masturbation on "I Touch Myself. Far from explicit, the PG-rated hit shouldn't have come as such a shock to American ears. At any rate, this self-titled CD offers exactly what one generally expects from the Divinyls: rockin' intensity combined with new wave-ish quirks and a strong melodic sense. Though not mind-blowing, it's respectable and generally appealing.
