Metanoia is a compilation album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released on 10" double-vinyl in December, 1998, in a limited run of 1000 copies. It is mostly made up of improvisations recorded during the Signify sessions, some of which were later shaped into songs.

Lightbulb Sun is the sixth studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in May 2000, and later reissued in 2008 on CD, DVD-A surround sound, and vinyl. This album, along with their prior album Stupid Dream, is considered to have a more commercial, poppier sound, as opposed to the abstract instrumental sound of their prior albums, or the heavier metal sound in their subsequent albums of the 2000s.

Steven Wilson discussed the differences between Porcupine Tree and his solo band, telling Linea Rock (transcribed by UG): "It's not really about what percentage I wrote or didn't write. Porcupine Tree are inactive as of 2010. Their tenth and final album, " The Incident," saw its release in September 2009.
