Got it. + add. album. Reggae foundation roots singer Ronnie Davis (original Itals and formerly of The Tennors), releases his much anticipated new album titled IYAHCOUSTIC. Produced by oducer Henry "Sadiki" Buckley, J. IYAHCOUSTIC showcases Davis in a modern acoustic setting - a departure from the hard-core Rocksteady and Reggae production that's been the backdrop for most of his works throughout the years. The album, however, does not stray tfar from the potency or from the foundation of Davis, as all the tracks are re-cuts of some of his biggest hits to date. Ronnie Davis started his singing career by entering local talent contests in the early 1960s. His big break came in 1969 when he was asked to join The Tennors. He is also a founding member of the GRAMMY nominated The Itals.

Ronnie Davis (born 1950, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica - died January 25 2017, Jamaica) was a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter and producer.
Ronnie Davis’ career began in the early ’60s when his ambition took him to local talent shows. Hailing from Westmoreland, he formed The Westmorelites (a group that involved original members of The Itals). His first solo hit, Won’t You Come Home, dropped in 1975 for the late, great Lloyd Campbell. Fancy Make Up (included on 1979’s Gregory Isaacs Meets Ronnie Davis album) is a master stroke of artistry. This observant piece takes on a Tennors feel with the vocals of Sadiki. All the way strong! I Won’t Cry is a 1974 classic Ronnie cut during his BUNNY Lee years. Got To Go Home is memories by the score. One can sense the fulljoyment in the studio indeed. Such beautiful guitar; vibes and vibes.
Ronnie Davis - Strange Things. Ooh, ooh Whoa yeah Na na na na Uh-hmm, hmm. Strange things happening on a Friday night Girls meet boys and lots of hugging and kissing Under the golden moon that shine the silver lights Oh, oh, I'd like to be one of them But I'm like a wandering sheep A wandering sheep on this island With no one to love me, with no one to kiss me. That's why I sa. .
