Fourty brave men. Στέλιος Καζαντζίδης. τα χρόνια της υπομονής. In the years of patience.
Someone happened to mention to me in a PM (private message) that when a Greek song is "repetitive" melodically, the song can be rescued by a great orchestration. As an example, he cited Ξαρχάκος as an example of a composer who was able to rescue repetitive songs with his orchestrations.
This wonderful album wash created with the help of the Athens Philharmonic orchestra. The rich and vibrant voices of the choir soar to the sky and beyond as the lyrics of old and new fairy songs echo across the boundaries of childhood to old age. This album is truly a gem! It celebrates all that is youthful and innocent, with fabulous skill, what an exceptional album, truly a wonderful addition to any music collection. From upbeat to quiet and reflective, all the tracks hold a magic that is spellbinding! This album is not in keeping with traditional music, though some words and themes reflect.
