River Deep – Mountain High is a studio album by the American R&B duo Ike & Tina Turner. It was originally released by London Records in the UK in 1966. The album was intended to be released on Phil Spector's Philles label as LP-4011 in the US, but it was shelved when the single "River Deep – Mountain High" didn't do well. Only a few copies of LP-4011 were pressed, and covers never printed, before it was canceled by Philles. However, the single was successful in England.

Annisette's distinctive high-pitched, keening vocals, similar in some respects to those of Kate Bush (who didn't start releasing records until a decade after Annisette first recorded), have been integral to the sound of Savage Rose since she joined the group in the late '60s. Attracted by the opportunity to sing more original material, she left to join Savage Rose (as did two of the other Dandy Swingers) before the band's 1968 debut. Annisette and Thomas Koppel have kept Savage Rose going, with the assistance of various other musicians live and on record, ever since that time.

Spector and Ike both denied this later in their careers, but the truth is that Ike Turner did not work with any of the Spector recordings for the album.
