This is a batucada exercise. In the Central Park concert, Olodum plays with Paul live, but the drumming is half a measure off. I don't know if the American musicians came in wrong (the Olodum intro begins on the 3rd beat) or if they decided to play it this way. In that gig, Neguinho de Samba plays the timbales.
