A Head Full of Dreams" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It is the first track and the fourth single from their album of the same name (2015). The song was recorded by the band during sessions for their seventh studio album in 2014, at their purpose-built studios The Bakery and The Beehive in North London, England, both originally constructed for work on their three previous studio albums.

This carpe diem spirit courses throughout A Head Full of Dreams, turning it into a 21st century equivalent of Steve Winwood's Back in the High Life, a divorce record where every end seems like a fresh new beginning. Appropriately, Coldplay invite more than a few guests to help usher them into this brave new world, the showiest being Beyoncé, who overwhelms the band's innate politeness on "Hymn for the Weekend," but Tove Lo eases right into "Fun" and Noel Gallagher amiably allows himself to be swallowed by the gentle wash of guitars and synths.

A Head Full of Dreams is a top-rate crowd-pleaser and a very accomplished album with more surprises, more life in it than the largely melancholy Ghost Stories. Some might be upset that they went in the Pop direction; but being Coldplay in one of their better guises, this is probably one of the very best "Pop" albums put out this year. If you want quintessential Coldplay, see Viva la Vida and Parachutes. But their talent and creativity is still very much alive.

SLEEPY HOLLOW returns for a fourth season full of supernatural creatures, mysterious events an. .

A Head Full of Dreams, produced by Norwegian hitmakers Stargate, might be Coldplay’s brightest album ever – an eagle’s-wings whoosh of soaring melodies, happy dance beats and Martin at his most wide-eyed. Coldplay flex their coalition-building strength by bringing together Beyoncé’s backing vocals and Noel Gallagher’s heroic guitar on the gingerly optimistic Up&Up. Bey also appears amid chirping birds on the R&B-touched Hymn for the Weekend.

A Head Full of Dreams is Coldplay’s chance to reassert the eager-to-please exuberance that Ghost Stories deliberately downplayed and prove that Adele isn’t the only artist who can mobilize a monoculture in 2015. His relentless need to take us higher feels most genuine when we get a sense of what got him so low in the first place. Everglow" and the Tove Lo collab "Fun" bring ultimate closure to the Gwyneth saga with a pledge to enduring friendship (and, to prove it, the former track features Martin’s ex on backing vocals). And despite bearing a title that isn’t going to dispel their poor-man’s U2 rep, "Amazing Day" is a sweet ode to blossoming, post-divorce romance that channels the winsome charm of early singles like "Shiver".
