English singer and songwriter Zayn has released two studio albums, fifteen singles (including three as a featured artist), five promotional singles and ten music videos. In 2010, Malik auditioned as a solo artist for the British reality television music competition The X Factor. After being eliminated as a solo performer, Malik was brought back into the competition, along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, to form the boy band One Direction.

Zayn Malik was a guest on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show today, where he spoke to Lowe about the process behind his latest single, "Let Me," and his forthcoming second solo album, which he told Lowe is "very like, under wraps at the minute. I'm trying to keep it as mysterious as possible but there's a plan with the roll out," Malik said. Malik says he's definitely proud of the finished work, which is apparently ready to go when we are, though no official release date has been confirmed. Great album from Joseph Malik. If you imagine Amp Fiddler with the funk toned down and some downtempo feeling added to the mix then you'll be digging this. This is moody and magnificent music- very expressive. Joseph Malik’s beautiful tenor is put front and center on his debut album for Compost, DIVERSE. And diverse would be the appropriate word: he ranges from more folksy compositions ( Melodies, Mother’s Son ) to the jazziness that Compost is known for ( Soul Blues ). There’s some pseudo blues-funk (with a house kick) on Take It All and Check It All Out - catchy as the flu!
