Aquarium is the debut studio album by Danish-Norwegian band Aqua. The album was released in Scandinavia on March 26, 1997 and in the United States on September 9, 1997. Although the group had been together for three years under their original name Joyspeed, their only release under that name was a single called "Itzy Bitsy Spider". The album is best known for including the successful singles "Barbie Girl", "Doctor Jones" and "Turn Back Time", the first of those being a huge hit across the globe

Label: Universal ‎– UMD 85020. Undoubtly the most famous album in the "bubble gum" genre, and this album is usually either loved or hated, at least the beginning. Actually I like it, mainly because of the Johnny Jam & Delgado sound, who produced several other tracks for other projects (they even produced some Ace Of Base tracks on the "Flowers" album), and they are among my favourite dance music producers.

Aqua – 1, Mattel – 0! Bad – Due to this song, sexual frustration in teenagers rose to an all-time high, as Barbies flew off the shelf and into the bedroom. Happy-Pill Lyric – You can touch, you can play/You can say I’m always yours. This would make any couple happy. Good Morning Sunshine. Good –The Spanish-influenced sound paired with Dif’s rapping is an unexpected direction. Vive Aqua Gangsta’! Bad – Lene seems to be reaching vocally. One by one, Aqua made it fun. However, feel free to slip back to 2009 if you would like. Refrain from punishing yourself for enjoying Aquarium because guilty pleasures are only fun if you can partake in them.
