Carl Matthews was one of the early pioneers in the UK t movement, producing cassette releases via Mirage (5), Electronical Dreams and various compilations. uk, MySpace, SoundCloud, Bandcamp.

East-West is the second album by The Butterfield Blues Band, released in 1966 on Elektra Records, EKS 7315 in stereo, EKL 315 in mono. It was recorded at the famed Chess Studios on 2120 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago. It peaked at on the Billboard pop albums chart, but is regarded as highly influential by rock and blues music historians. Like the band's record debut, this album features traditional blues covers and the guitar work of Mike Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop.

East Meets West is the debut album by jazz guitarist John Scofield. It was recorded in 1977 at the Onkio Haus in Tokyo with bassist Clint Houston and Motohiko Hino on drums. The opening tracks of either side of the LP include trumpeter Terumasa Hino, the drummer's brother. The album was released under the title John Scofield in 1978 by Trio Records in Japan. After Trio closed, Black Hawk Records released the album in 1987 under the title East Meets West.
