Deep River of Song: Virginia and the Piedmont: Minstrelsy, Work Songs, and Blues. It is a shame that nobody has bothered to put all the recordings Lomax and other did of Sid Hemphill, Lucius Smith and their various band mates in 1941 and 1942 and in the 1950s out on one CD and one has to gather different CDS to find them, for example more string band music by this group appears (misplaced in) this. series's Black Appalachia recording even though these people were from the hill country of Mississippi and nowhere near Appalachia

A companion volume to Deep River of Song: The Blues Lineage, which presented field recordings by Son House, Muddy Waters, and many other Delta bluesmen, Saints & Sinners presents a good look at the musical climate of rural Mississippi during the early 20th century. Listeners are given an ample view of the atmosphere of the times, which was much closer to the days of slavery than many blues fans realize

Saints & Sinners (Whitesnake album). Saints & Sinners is the fifth studio album by English hard rock band Whitesnake, released in 1982. It peaked at number 9 on the UK Albums Chart. Two of the tracks, "Crying in the Rain" and "Here I Go Again", were later re-recorded for their self-titled 1987 album. The recording process began in 1981, just after the end of the Come an' Get It tour. However, tension within the band was beginning to appear.
