Chante Piaf" (Songs of Piaf) was the first Mireille Mathieu CD I bought, and it amazed me. How could I have been unaware of such a great and talented singer? I had seen Mireille Mathieu on American television in the late 1960's, but had forgotten her. All I remembered was she was a petite woman with a large voice, and was roughly my age. I saw "Chante Piaf" in a CD catlogue in about 1996, and remembered her. I bought the CD out of curiosity. After I listened to it, I immediately wanted more of her CDs, but could not find more.
