New Recording Dan Stacey - Crank It. This is the first solo album from Dan Stacey, the fiddle player in the very popular Celtic rock band, Seven Nations. He plays allot of variations on trad tunes as well as many of his own. A very enjoyable recording with some great jigs and scorching reels. I picked up a copy when I saw Seven Nations play here in Denver in Nov 2003. For more info on Dan Stacey.
Dan Stacey recorded his first album Crank it back in 2003 and after a decade plus he's back at it. This second kick at the can has him teaming up with The Black Swans for their debut album which will be entitled A 440, an instrumental blend of traditional Canadian and Irish fiddle tunes with ten original compositions by Mr. Stacey. When recording an album deciding where, when and with whom to record is vital. This process for A 440 was well planned. Dan had a direction early and made the decision to produce. While bringing and album to life it has a lot of moving parts. Someone has to steer the ship". A 440 is now past its adolescence. The majority of the tracking for this recording has already been successfully completed.
