A split album (or split) is a music album which includes tracks by two or more separate artists. There have been singles and EPs of the same variety, which are often called "split singles" and "split EPs" respectively. Split albums differ from "various artists" compilation albums in that they generally include several tracks of each artist, or few artists with one or two tracks each, instead of multiple artists with only one or two tracks each.

What's the point? The intention is to promote people who make beautiful music. with no care for what anybody thinks. The Collector is the 1963 debut novel by English author John Fowles. He wrote it between November 1960 and March 1962. It was adapted as a feature film of the same name in 1965. The novel is about a lonely young man, Frederick Clegg, who works as a clerk in a city hall and collects butterflies in his spare time. The first part of the novel tells the story from his point of view.

The unifying aspect of this split album is the overall attitude present. Both Throats and Maths specialize in nasty, furious music that is not afraid to get it's hands dirty. In other words, they're both very pissed off, and it shows. The first 5 songs of this 10 song album are allotted to Maths. No time is wasted in kicking off their short but energetic collection of songs. Opener Heavy Hearts gets right in your face almost immediately, showcasing Maths' own frenetic brand of screamo
