Proof Of Life" lyrics. What’s your proof of life? You can’t deny the truth that hits you right between the eyes. So just name your price. I’ll give anything to justify the reason I’m alive What’s your proof of life? What’s your proof of life? Are you playing the victim When you know that you volunteered? No excuse for your sickness, It’s your choices that got you here.

Proof of Life, is the second studio album by American rock singer Scott Stapp released on November 5, 2013. This is the most meaningful record of my career," says Stapp. This album chronicles my struggles, my journey and it's the most honest record I have ever written"

Scott Stapp has been hard at work in the studio and his new solo album 'Proof of Life' is set to drop on Nov. 5. Leading up to its release, Loudwire is teaming up with Stapp to bring you the exclusive album stream (listen below). After listening, it will be easy to see this is a deeply personal record for the Creed singer. He worked closely with acclaimed producer Howard Benson and mixer Chris Lord-Alge in crafting the effort to fit his creative vision. Proof of Life' is filled with other standouts, as well. The gritty, in-your-face 'Who I Am' is an adrenaline-filled ride. The haunting title track, the anthemic 'New Day Coming' and the triumphant 'Only One' make the early part of the album a success. Meanwhile the beat-driven 'Hit Me More,' the swagger-filled 'Jesus Was a Rockstar' and the powerful 'What Would Love Do' make sure the back half of the disc holds up against the early songs.

Scott Stapp (born Anthony Scott Flippen, August 8, 1973) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Stapp is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Creed. He has also fronted the band Art of Anarchy and has released two solo albums: The Great Divide (2005) and Proof of Life (2013). Stapp has received several accolades, including numerous RIAA certifications.

The title track of Scott Stapp's second solo album, the former Creed frontman penned the song with Tyler Connolly from Theory of a Deadman. Stapp recalled the story of the tune to Artist Direct: "We got together. We were sitting around. I came in, and I had an idea. I was playing it on guitar. I looked up at the guys and said, 'Do you have any ideas?' Tyler said, 'I've got three words, Proof of Life. I instantly was like, 'Oh yeah!' I ran to the microphone after we laid down a sketch of the music and began to freestyle with that thought process in mind. The song was born then. At the end of the album, when all of the songs were done, it was the perfect fit to summarize what this body of work meant," Stapp continued.
