In the Back of My Mind" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for American rock band the Beach Boys, first released on their 1965 album The Beach Boys Today!. It is a heavily orchestrated ballad in 6/8 time. Dennis Wilson largely sings lead unaccompanied though briefly during the middle-eight, his brothers Brian and Carl sing two lines in unison.

at the back of (one's) mind. Present in one's thoughts or in one's attention, without ever being fully obscured by any other thoughts or considerations. Whenever I park in the city, the fear of being towed is always at the back of my mind. COMMON If something is at the back of your mind, you are aware of it, though it is not the main thing you are thinking about. Stead's Pride Park loan spell ends on Tuesday and he said: "Roy Keane has not spoken to me at all since I've been here so at the back of my mind I have to think that means my career there is over. FOOTBALL SPY: Stead so Keane on a switch. When I came back to Wrexham it was at the back of my mind that I could put myself in the frame for Wales,' he said. Tosh makes Valentine's day for Ryan. At the back of my mind, I wondered if my tires were safe or not," Marks says.

From the outset, on album opener ‘504’, Soul Rebels mix funk, Latin rhythms and chilled grooves in a manner that few could even claim to contend with. The tuba basslines in particular are something to be marvelled at and may well manage to fool even the most informed ear into thinking that its sound is coming from a more commonly-used stringed instrument. The band’s cover of Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams’ is an equally impressive effort that borrows an irresistible world fusion sound from groups like Ozomatli to put a highly exotic spin on the ‘80s pop classic. Also, the choice to not go completely instrumental is a wise one – frequently using soul and blues-style vocals and even rapping to open their music up to as many different audiences as possible.

In 1955 Bob Weinstock found himself in a tough spot. He was about to lose his most revered recording artist, trumpeter Miles Davis. Weinstock was head of Prestige Records, the label Miles signed to in 1951 and recorded most of his albums with in the early 50s. The early albums Miles released under Prestige included many jazz greats such as Sonny Rollins, Jackie McLean, John Lewis and others, but until 1954 the output was spotty due to his Heroin addiction
