A Kiss in the Dreamhouse is the fifth studio album by British alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released on 5 November 1982 by Polydor Records. The record marked a change of musical direction, as the group used strings for the first time and experimented in the studio. For Julian Marszalek of The Quietus, the release proved the Banshees to be "one of the great British psychedelic bands.

A Kiss in the Dreamhouse is the fifth studio album released by Siouxsie and the Banshees and was issued by Polydor Records in the UK in 1982. It was reissued, remastered and expanded in 2009. Both a critical and commercial success, it peaked on the UK albums chart at number eleven. The Banshees claimed it to be their personal best, until the release of Peepshow in 1988. Guitarist John McGeoch ceased to be a member of the band shortly after the release of the album.

Obsession' is a forerunner of Nick Cave's 'From Her To Eternity' while 'She's A Carnival', complete with a sinister fairground organ coda, is simply dazzling and, as displayed by the motorik drive of 'Slowdive', Siouxsie & The Banshees weren't afraid to stretch themselves. Here was a band that dared to challenge itself as much as their listeners.
