And maybe he don't dress fine But I don't really mind 'Cause every time he pulls me near I just wanna cheer. Let's hear it for the boy Oh, let's give the boy a hand Let's hear it for my baby You know you gotta understand Oh, maybe he's no Romeo But he's my lovin' one-man show Oh, whoa, let's hear it for the boy.

We Are the World 25 for Haiti" is a charity single recorded by the supergroup Artists for Haiti in 2010. It is a remake of the 1985 hit song "We Are the World", which was written by American musicians Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and was recorded by USA for Africa to benefit famine relief in Africa

25: ‘Surfer Girl’ (Surfer Girl, 1963). While The Beach Boys’ early hits reflected the boisterous rough’n’tumble of a surfing lifestyle, it didn’t take long for Brian Wilson to find a melancholy angle to explore. Surfer Girl’ is a teenage daydream; it swoons over the object of his affections, imagining their future together seemingly before they’ve even said a word to one another. It begins with stunning harmonies singing, I’m a cork on the ocean/Floating over the raging sea/How deep is the ocean? It’s heartbreaking to hear the genius who’d brought such joy to so many lives sounding so utterly despondent.

When they came up with the "Let's hear it for the boy" line, they wrote the song around that title. Once the song was written, Pitchford asked Deniece Williams and her producer George Duke to record the song. Kenny Loggins was onboard for the title track, which gave the project credibility, and Williams loved the song and the story idea for the film - she grew up in a small Indiana town with a religious environment similar to the one described in Footloose. George and Shannon continue to record as Boy Meets Girl and released an album in 2003 called The Wonderground. Her first single "Free" went to in 1977. Let's hear it for the boy Let's give the boy a hand Let's hear it for my baby You know you gotta understand Maybe he's no Romeo But he's my loving one-man show Whooa, whooa, whooa-oh Let's hear it for the boy. My baby may not be rich He's watching every dime But he loves me, loves me, loves me We always have a real good time And maybe he sings off-key But that's all right by me, yeah 'Cause what he does, he does so well Makes me wanna yell. Let's hear it for the boy Let's give the boy a hand Let's hear it for my baby You know you gotta understand Maybe he's no Romeo But he's my loving one-man show Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Let's hear it for the boy.

But what about the artists who kept going long after their classic debut had been released, or had already been on the road for years before suddenly coming up with a gem, then never bettering it? There's no shame at all in being a one-album wonder - an artist can forge a long career off the back of one dazzling moment of brilliance, as indeed these seven have. And, of course, pop isn't just about albums - many of these artists have scores of great singles hidden away on different alums. Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill.
