Coil - Horse Rotorvator album flac

This initial version of the Dutch release of Horse Rotorvator was limited to 2000 copies on blue vinyl. Subsequent pressings were on black vinyl. Title track B5 on center label reads: 'The First Five Minutes . The track "The Anal Staircase" contains a sample from Igor Strawinsky's "Le Sacre Du Printemps" (not mentioned on this release). No printed track durations. Released under license by Boudisque Records.

Out of all of the coil albums, Horse Rotorvator is generally considered the band's Holy Grail. The album is so harsh and destructive, yet very emotional and touching. The album's leading track The Anal Staircase Starts out chaotic and let's you know that this won't be a happy album. Though the name is a bit silly, the song couldn't be more serious.

Horse Rotorvator followed in 1986 as the next full-length release. Although songs such as "The Anal Staircase" and "Circles of Mania" sound like evolved versions of Scatology material, the album is characterized by slower tempos, and represented a new direction for the group. The single-track, full-length drone album is the only Coil release made without the assistance of Christopherson. Musick To Play In The Dark Vol. 2 followed in September 2000, and Coil began to perform live more intensively, a period that also included writing the music for Black Antlers in between a series of mini-tours. Coil also released a series of live albums around this time.
