Brett Nelson's curious Electronic Anthology Project has covered Death Cab For Cutie's. Nelson, the bassist for Built To Spill, started the Electronic Anthology Project (EAP) in 2009 "as a one off goof project" to make electronic versions of his band's guitar-heavy music. Driven by his love of '80s synth pop, he recorded the songs in his own home studio and released them on a CD in 2010. A year later, things took off when Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis agreed to re-record vocals for EAP versions of nine Dinosaur Jr. songs. Those songs were released for Record Store Day last year on 12" vinyl
