The Nick Straker Band were an English pop music group from London, England, led by musician and vocalist Nick Straker. Several members of the band were also in New Musik, and the band's line-up consisted of Straker along with Tony Mansfield, Tony Hibbert, David McShera, Pete Hammond and Phil Towner. Their song "A Walk in the Park" peaked at No. 20 on the UK Singles Chart in 1980, having previously been a substantial hit in Continental Europe in 1979  . A Little Bit of Jazz", "The Last Goodbye".

Kid Loco Kill Your Darlings A little Bit Of Soul Where are you, now I can only see your face That's not good If only I could forget I know your hips I know your zips I kissed your lips And everything's so great. What I need baby Is a little bit of your soul But you're too cold, baby And your blood don't flow. Well you taught me A few tricks in a bed And that a lover Can't be your friend So may be flying Can be lot of fun But getting shot Might be somewhere in the plot.

The last song added to our album was probably Goodbye, I mean, that one we spent a lot of time on. We probably spent months just bouncing different ideas back and forth. At the last minute the main guitar part was switched from an electric guitar to an acoustic. We wanted this song to have a bit of a messy and real and raw guitar part to counter the smoother production on this song. It needed a human element added to it so it still captures a band feel. Noah played this acoustic guitar and it was exactly what the song needed. Jeffery David, Producer. Our dad Jeffery David produced this song and our entire album. We had a lot of fun working with him on these songs. Graham played Roland td50 Electronic drums on this song

The result was the Jazz album. The decision to part company with Mike Stone wasn’t entirely unanimous, but Roy had just finished an album with singer Peter Straker, a close friend of Freddie Mercury’s who also had production input and financed the finished disc. This One’s On Me reignited Mercury and Baker’s relationship and soon enough, everyone fell back into the old routine. Queen were aware that topping the anthems on News Of The World would take some doing and decided that a return to a more eclectic approach would be the way forward. Freddie loved the local Jazz Festival, which is the third, and most compelling reason, for the eventual title. Freddie bought Mountain Studios on behalf of the group, a canny piece of real estate investment, and also moved himself to a flat with a view of Lake Geneva, a bolthole that he described to friends as a slice of heaven.
