Count Raven are a doom metal band established in 1989 in Sweden. In 1990-1996 Count Raven released four studio albums, then broke up in 1998. In 2003 the band reunited and in 2009 released their fifth album, Mammons War. The band, formed in 1987 by vocalist Christian Linderson, guitarist Dan Fondelius, bassist Tommy Eriksson and drummer Christer Pettersson, was called originally Stormvarning. In 1989 they changed their name to Count Raven.

Count Raven Storm Warning Front cover artwork is In Ictu Oculi by Spanish painter Juan de Valdés Leal (1622-1690). Album is dedicated to child actress Heather O'Rourke (1975-1988). Looking back at the approach they made, Count Raven were inoculating Storm Warning with a plethora of low-key cinematic moments that really capture a new spirit to the genre. Although that is the case in tracks such as ‘Inam Naudemina’, ‘Within the Garden of Mirrors’ and ‘Social Warfare’, Count Raven also follow the same ritual as most doom bands do in ‘True Revelation‘ and ‘Sometimes a Great Nation’
