Smile (stylized as SMiLE) is an unfinished album by American rock band the Beach Boys that was projected to follow their 11th studio album, Pet Sounds (1966). After bandleader and principal songwriter Brian Wilson abandoned over fifty hours of music recorded over a ten-month period with outside lyricist Van Dyke Parks, the band substituted its release with Smiley Smile (1967), an album containing stripped-down remakes of some Smile material.

Some how hearing the youth in their voices makes sound right. The pressing is clean.
An album called 'Smiley Smile' was issued later that year, but other than a few of the songs and the hint of the title, it had very little to do with his abandoned masterpiece. But, there is just so much depth to the story of the Beach Boys and 'Smile. For many, this music may seem miles out to sea. It is avant garde, yet it is pop.

This is an UPGRADE to my reconstruction of The Beach Boys SMiLE album Disc 1 contains the standard, upgraded mono and stereo versions of my SMiLE ’67 Mix, which attempts to recreate what the SMiLE album would have sounded like in 1967.
