Lennon–McCartney (sometimes McCartney–Lennon) was the songwriting partnership between English musicians John Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) and Paul McCartney (born 18 June 1942) of the Beatles. It is one of the best known and is the most successful musical collaboration ever by records sold, with the Beatles selling over 600 million records worldwide as of 2004.
The McCartney album was good fun, Paul remembers, because I got a machine from EMI, only a four-track, and I just had it in my living room where I lived in London at the time. I’d just go in for the day like Monsieur Magritte. Go in and do a little bit of stuff and make something up, and knock off in the evenings. It was very interesting to do and it had a certain kind of rawness, because I was breaking loose after The Beatles, we all got a feeling of that, I think. In 2011, the album was remastered and reissued as part of the Paul McCartney Archive Collection, with a bonus disc of outtakes, demos and live versions, as well as a DVD of documentaries and live performances. The album cover show McCartney on a farm holding a Ram by it’s horn. ohn Lennon believed that songs on Ram included jibes at him in the lyrics, including Too Many People and Dear Boy. McCartney later said that only two lines in Too Many People were directed at Lennon. In one song, I wrote, ‘Too many people preaching practices,’ I think is the line. Here are the two photo’s side by sid. ennon’s response musically was the song How Do You Sleep? where he sings, Those freaks was right when they said you was dead and The only thing you done was yesterday/And since you’ve gone you’re just another day. Three pretty direct shots at McCartney; the first being about all the Paul Is Dead rumors. The next lyric being a reference to The Beatles’ 1965 song Yesterday, McCartney’s most popular song and the last a reference to McCartney’s hit single Another Day, released earlier in 1971.
Sexiest talking voice ever. He spent years developing his signature rasp and screams and remains one of the last rock legends. Just listen to the unplugged album. The reason that Rod Stewart gets my vote is that unlike a lot of these singers (for example Axl Rose) his voice is super raspy even when he's singing in a hushed tone in his normal range. 15 Elvis Presley Elvis Presley was an American musician and actor. Known as "The King" He was mostly known for his number 1 singles including "Heartbreak Hotel" "Hound Dog" "Jailhouse Rock" "Love me Tender" Elvis debuted in the movie "Love me Tender" and focused less on his music and continued that wa. .
