Gabriel Palatchi is a world class artist. His music embodies a complex flavour of genres. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982, Gabriel Palatchi started his first piano lessons at the age of 8. He spent his formative years in Buenos Aires studying classical piano, and being mentored by some of the great maestros of blues, tango, jazz and Latin jazz. After graduating in 2007 from Berklee international School, Argentina, he spent several months in Cuba where he studied latin jazz with the master Chucho Valdez
In 2010, Palatchi released his first album, a solo effort called Diario de Viaje (Travel Diary), chosen as one of the best Latin Jazz CD’s of the year by Jazz FM Toronto. Latin Jazz Net noted how the album "works the idioms and metaphors of various not-so-disparate cultures into a fine homogenous mixture that is both delightful and also. Gabriel Palatchi Band. Gabriel Palatchi was in born August 3, 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 8, he started his first piano lessons. He then went on to study classical music at the conservatory Manuel de Falla school in Argentina. His studies led him to a Musical Production degree from the ORT High School in Argentina. He further expanded on his studies with a degree in music from the Berklee international School The brightest aspect of Diario de Viaje is the manner in which the ensemble melds together with Palatchi. He works the idioms and metaphors of various not-so- disparate cultures into a fine homogenous mixture that is both delightful and also quite full of surprise. As a result he is able to create a fresh look at the popular musical motifs of Argentina, Perú, Colombia, Mexico and Cuba.
