Greatest Hits (1985–1995) is a compilation album by American recording artist Michael Bolton, released in 1995. The album features Bolton's biggest hit singles from his five previous albums; Everybody's Crazy, The Hunger, Soul Provider, Time, Love & Tenderness and The One Thing, plus five new recordings. The album achieved a great deal of success, going 3x platinum in the US and selling over nine million copies worldwide. denotes a new recording for this release.

The Hunger is the fifth studio album by American recording artist Michael Bolton. It was released in 1987 by Columbia Records. This was his breakthrough album, with the hits "That's What Love Is All About" and the Otis Redding cover "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay". Several songs from this album feature Journey members Jonathan Cain on keyboards, Neal Schon on guitar, and previous member from their Raised on Radio 1986-87 tour Randy Jackson (of American Idol fame) on bass. During this time, there were rumors that Bolton might have been in the running as Journey's new lead singer after Steve Perry's initial departure from the band in early 1987. Also playing on certain tracks on the album was then-current Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick. Despite only reaching on the US Billboard 200, the album achieved stability in the charts.

Hugh fan of Michael Bolton and several of his albums. His voice is one of a kind and no mistake when he sings as to who the star is. Great Album. I like many of the songs here, including both the rockers like "Gina" and "Hot Love" as well as the wonderful ballads "That's What Love is All About" and "Walk Away". Now, you would have to be smoking crack to say that his version of "(Sittin' On) The Dock of The Bay" surpasses Otis Redding's original.

Michael Bolton (album). Michael Bolton is the third studio album by American recording artist Michael Bolton. It was Bolton's first record to be released, in 1983, on Columbia Records. This was also the first time that Bolton recorded under his stage name; his previous releases, Michael Bolotin and Everyday of My Life, had been released under his given name, Michael Bolotin. It features then future Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick on lead guitar, rotating with Bolton himself.

This time, the ballad was issued as a single in advance of the album, and it did the trick. For the rest, Bolton employed a new set of collaborators, including members of Journey and pop songwriting queen Diane Warren. The result was platinum sales and a firm place in the middle of the road.
