The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards, songwriting), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). To capture the event for fans who might not necessarily have been lucky enough to get into the 2894-seat venue, the group recorded the shows, and released the Live At The2 Beacon Theatre DVD in late ’03, and it was quickly certified gold. The band would tape two of their 10 shows at the theater in March 1992. Amazingly, material from these electrifying shows has seen virtually no release - until now. In the spirit of The Allmans iconic 1971 live album At Fillmore East, Play All Night showcases Allman, Betts, Trucks, Jaimoe, Haynes, Woody and Quinones taking the Beacon's stage by storm.
