The album features Marilyn’s four best selling singles including the number 4 smash Calling Your Name. The album has 8 bonus tracks that include 2 mixes of Calling Your Name 12″ promo mixes of Cry And Be Free (Gospel and Streisand styles) and the extended version of Baby U Left Me In The Cold. The CD booklet includes a UK Discography with all the accompanying sleeves and a biography of Marilyn’s career. Marilyn emerged from the New Romantic movement in London at the end of the 1970’s. In June 1985, Marilyn released his debut album, Despite Straight Lines. Despite including his three earlier UK Top 40 hit singles, the album only charted in Australia By this time, Robinson's drug addiction and his highly publicised disputes with Boy George damaged his public image. Public tastes were also changing, and his music career suffered.

Marilyn channels all of his emotions and thoughts into this album. Its very personal and speaks a lot about our society. Holy Wood is truly an absolute masterpiece. Even from a fan of Holy wood and MA this album is one of his best, even fans of jazz and blues I know respect this album for its amaZing guitar lines and he doesn't lose his edge, instead of fighting mainstream head on like in Antichrist superstar he sneaks from behind and deals a dishing blow that way, and his voice.
