Various Artists - Black Slavery Days LP 1980 Clappers label (2003 Honest Jons - Clappers label reissue shown), Lawrence 'Jack Ruby' Lindo is a man whose history is not easy to decipher, what is known is that by the late 1960's, before the age of thirty, he owned & operated one of the most popular & powerful (in watts) sound systems. He was based in the Greenwich Farm sector of Kingston, known as a center for music at the time. This compilation album was released in 1980 but contains music recorded in 1975 at the height of the Roots Reggae period, presented in 'Showcase' format: where the dub remix follows each vocal track.
