Marie Celeste was an acoustic 5 piece folk band from Wolverhampton West Midlands 2 female vocalists, 2 male guitar vocalists electric base player (which was myself Michael Jon Tame) Black Piano is not a track on this album the title of this album is called " And Then Perhaps" Patrick Gill never played and was no part of Marie Celeste (folk band). Marie Celeste is also the name of an Australian metalcore band hailing from South-Western Sydney.

Salt Marie Celeste has just one long track that begins with a whisper of sound that ever so slowly builds even as it remains quite ambient. The underlying track was issued earlier on a rare Current 93/Nurse With Wound double CD called "Horse Hospital", and consists of an ambient, ultra-minimalist tape loop drone with a sound that rises and falls but otherwise doesn't change during its hour length. The original release didn't have much to it, and was no match for an earlier Nurse With Wound release in the same vein, Soliloquy for Lilith. Towards the end of the track (album), the sounds fall away and we are left again with the original minimalist drone ebbing and surging for another five minutes before slowly fading away. It?s one of the bands' more ambient ventures, borrowing bits from several other albums to make something completely different.

This album is dedicated to the memory of our great friend Daragh Greally 25th November 1969 - 23rd June 2002. Recorded and mixed May - September 2002 at the Watertower, Preston. Released in a standard Digipak. Reissue of the 2003 United Dairies release (distributed by World Serpent) in nearly identical packaging.
