Glendon Bailey known as Admiral Bailey born and grew up in the Kingston 12 ghetto of Waterhouse. One ofJamaica’s primary and most significant DJs to materialize from the modern day raggamuffin era of reggae music. He began his DJ career for the legendary King Jammys and was also an artist on the sound system of the same name. His first calobrations such as "One Scotch" (with Chaka Demus) and "Ballot Box" (with Josey Wales) were minor hits, then "Politician" was extremely popular. It was the release of his tune "Punany" that shot Admiral Bailey into a major league dancehall celebrity.

Admiral Bailey (b. Glendon Bailey) was born in the Kingston 12 ghetto of Waterhouse. He started deejaying for U Roy's Sturgav Sound System but was persuaded by Josey Wales in 1986 to join King Jammy's. His earlier hits included tracks such as "One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Beer" (with Chaka Demus), "Ballot Box" (with Josey Wales) and "Politician".

The Admiral first broke through with his infectious dancehall anthems and his distinctive military uniforms in 1986, when DJ Josey Wales took him to King Jammy’s from U-Roy’s King Sturgav Hi-Fi. The Waterhouse studio was alive with creativity, with Steely And Clevie constructing new digital rhythms and nurturing an impressive roster of artists. Bailey quickly proved himself, however, starting a run of hits with a duet with Chaka Demus, ‘One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Beer’. This was followed by ‘Politician’, ‘Chatty Chatty Mouth’, ‘Ballot Box’ (with Josey Wales) and 1987’s ‘Punany’ - for which a radio ban necessitated the release of a more ‘innocent’ version, ‘Healthy Body’. Other singles, including ‘Big Belly Man’, ‘Jump Up’, ‘Top Celebrity Man’ and ‘Cater For Woman’, continued the successful run, and he released his debut set, Kill Them With It, the same year. Josey Wales OD, born Joseph Winston Sterling in St. Mary, Jamaica is an influential Jamaican dancehall deejay. He was considered, along with Brigadier Jerry, Yellowman and sound system partner Charlie Chaplin, one of the best deejays of the 1980s. Wales is named after the 1976 Western movie character from The Outlaw Josey Wales, played by Clint Eastwood, and subsequently nicknamed "The Outlaw". Josie Wales & Admiral Bailey - Ballot Box.
