And, I wanna hooky wooky with you I wanna hooky wooky with you. And the traffic's so noisy, it's a shock Sounds like fireworks or a gun on the next block Ah, hooky wooky with you. Your ex-lover Satchel is here from France, yet another ex They gather about you like a Mother Superior All of you still friends, but. And none of my old flames ever talk to me When things end for me, they end They take your pants, your money, your name But the song still remain. And, I wanna hooky wooky with you Ah-ha-ha-ha, I wanna hooky wooky with you. Then they take your pants, your money, your name But.

Lou Reed is the debut solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in April 1972 by RCA Records, two years after he left the Velvet Underground.
One of my favourite Lou Reed Songs. Magic and Loss had impressed me but in the early nineties I rarely listened to him, he fell under my radar so to speak. Then when I was in prison I used to lay on my bunk read and listen to music vids all day. One day they aired Hooky Wooky and I looked up at the TV and thought wtf Lou's at it again. Everytime they played it I got up and startet to do a little cell walking routine. It brightened my shitty day!
The sound is tight and the emotion behind the songs is powerful. Set the Twilight Reeling was an album Lou Reed made after MAgic and Loss and his short lived reunion with the Velvet Underground. A lot has happened to Lou since his last solo record. He found a new love in his life (Laurie Anderson) but lost a dear friend (Sterling Morrison). Sex With Your Parents really hurts the album. It is one of his worst songs. Hooky Wooky is just a fun song. The Proposition and Adventurer are both great. Riptide is really a stand out track.
